Dario Amodei discusses why he expects continued rapid AI progress, including scaling in reinforcement learning, major advances in coding, and the possibility of highly capable AI systems within the next few years. He also distinguishes technical progress from economic diffusion and argues that governance, distribution, civil liberties, and security will determine how the benefits and risks are managed.
