My recommendation would be that if some of the leading companies in AI say that a new model is very dangerous and that the company producing that model is not taking steps to address the danger, then they should alert the government to take action to limit the release of that model. And that could be action by the Chinese government or action by the US government. It's really just the US government and the Chinese government that have the power to take action here.
Musk forecasts rapid advances in AI and robotics leading to abundant goods, optional work, and potentially reduced importance of money, while acknowledging substantial safety and social risks. He also argues for limited coordination among AI companies and government intervention on dangerous models, and defends his political positions on borders, migration, and Europe.
