Cyber sickness is caused by a lot of things but the primary mechanism is that when you have what your inner ear feels mismatch with what your eye sees. Your body believes that that mismatch must be due to a poison that is interfering with your peripheral nervous system. And so what do you need to do when you're poison? Expel the poison.
