Worth a selective listen: the strongest material is his candid framing of task-based work, scrutiny of wealth, and detachment from Shopify’s stock price. The AI discussion overlaps the corpus, but the labor-market and public-company angles add meaningful range.

Do you think you have a utopian lens? When I look at what Claude can do when it comes to social media design, I'm being blunt. A lot of tasks which are not actually that difficult, but they are execution oriented. I know I've done them so people can't be upset with me for it. Claude does it very well. Now how do you keep that utopian mind with the recognition that most of these tasks are easily replaceable with agents? Look, because none of the people who are doing jobs that are just tasks for other people have good jobs. Both are not good jobs. Being an automated task queue is not a great job. Great jobs are like things where you have agency and can produce things and make things.
